ALA 2016 was a great year! I had a lot of fun, made some new friends, and got to see a lot of people I hadn't seen in a long time!
Day 0: Thursday started with a ride on the train, which is always exciting (have I ever said that I love riding trains? It reminds me of being back in Japan!) When we got to Ontario we had a pretty relaxing day (I took a nap) and prepared for the days to come.
Day 1: Friday I had the auditions for ALA Idol (I made it to the finals, woohoo!) Followed by A-to-J's AKB48 panel which I performed at. The performances both went really well (the panel even had a costume quick change which was super fun!) After the panel we spent time in the dealers hall (I bought so many snacks!) and met up with more friends before going to Tiffany's concert! It was a great concert and she had a lot of energy, I even got to go on stage and do an MC with her! It did start a bit late, but everyone really seemed to enjoy it.
Day 2: Saturday started early for me, and I was so tired T.T First I was part of a Posing for Cosplay Photography panel with my friend (and one of my favorite photographers) WJS Photography! I then performed in the ALA Idol Finals, before immediately going to A-to-J's Idol 102 panel where I once again performed. Everything went extremely well! After everything settled down I changed into my Potpourri cosplay and walked around the convention before we had A-to-J's Visual Kei 102 panel where we skyped in a surprise Japanese guest, Noah, the singer from Avanchick! After the panel we ordered pizza and celebrated a succesful day!
Day 3: Sunday was a relaxing day. I spent some time in the dealers hall before we decided to grab lunch across the street. It was raining and the ground got flooded so my shoes got completely soaked D: I then headed back to the hotel to spend the last few hours with friends before heading back to LA. It was very cold and when we got to the train station we realized our train was delayed by almost an hour! Thankfully we were kept company by some other congoers who were making their way home so it wasn't too bad...
And now finally I'm home! ALA was so much fun and I can't wait for next year! Expect pictures to be up soon <3
